The grout is used for filling the joints between ceramic wall and floor tiles, marble tiles, and glazed mosaic in dry, damp and wet zones in buildings.
Ingredients: high-quality color cement, washed building sand, and polymer additives.
Mixture proportion: about 0.3 liters of water per 1 kg of the dry mixture.
Time consumption: 40 minutes.
Substrate temperature: from +5 ° C to +30 ° C.
Seam thickness: 2 - 5 mm.
The joints between the tiles must be cleaned of dirt and dust. The contamination of grooves or the deposition of salts can cause stains on the surface of the grouted joints. The depth of the joints between the laid tiles should not be less than their thickness. It is necessary to wipe the joints with a damp sponge before grouting. The surface temperature must not be lower than +5 ° C.
Mix the contents of the package with clean cold water (approximate ratio - 0.3 liters of water per 1 kg of the dry mix) and stir until uniform creamy mass without lumps (the solution can lose its guaranteed properties due to excess water). The prepared mortar should be used during 40 minutes.
You can start jointing after the expiration of the time period specified in the instructions for the thinset used for laying the tiles. When jointing old lining, clean up the old joints and moisten the surface. When grouting tiles with a matte or porous surface, avoid getting the mortar on the tiles.
The mix should be laid with a rubber trowel or a rubber spatula edge - press the mortar into the joints between the tiles to the base. Remove the excess mortar from the surface of the tiles. In 10 minutes wipe the treated surface with a damp sponge without disturbing the joints. If a grout haze persists, then buff the tiles with a soft dry cloth. To create the best conditions for the solidification of the mortar, it is necessary to mist the grout joints for the first 3 days.
The storage period is 12 months in containers in a dry place.
